myCatholic is a website that allows you to make and customize your own homepage with Catholic news, links, Mass readings, lives of the saints and more.  You can pretty much add anything that is sent over the Internet via RSS.

The Library of the Armenian Apostolic Church

The Armenian Apostolic Church Library Online offers a collection of links to resources for the study of the Armenian Apostolic Church in English, Modern Armenian and Krapar.  There are sermons, theological texts and .mp3s.  The Jamagirk Adenii [300 page book of hourly prayers] is just one of the quality resources available.  Resources can be used free of charge for non-commercial purposes.

The glory of icons

Icons - Windows into Heaven offers lots of information on icons, the theology behind them and their history.  You can also commission your own icon to be painted and see lots of beautiful icons already completed.  A nice introduction to the art of iconography.

The evils of capital punishment

CACP - Catholics Against Capital Punishment - works to promote and end to capital punishment and educate people as to why capital punishment is "unnecessary, inappropriate and unacceptable in today's world."  The site offers links to Catholic teaching on capital punishment and expressing this teaching to federal and state authorities as well as encouraging Catholics to take a greater public role in working to bring about an end to the death penalty.

The American Catholic

American Catholic is devoted to presenting information about the Catholic Church from a more moderate perspective.  It is run by the Franciscans and St. Anthony Messenger Press and gives Catholic related news, offers meditations, provides movie reviews, and takes prayer requests.  You can also link to the St. Anthony site if there are Catholic goods you are looking for.

How many Lutherans are there in Rhode Island?

Adherents.com offers a good deal of information about the number of adherents to various faith traditions throughout the United States and throughout the world.  Not only can you find the number of members of a particular tradition in a particular area but you can also find out what the dominant faith tradition is in any particular geographic location.

The site also includes information on the faith tradition of famous real and fictional individuals, religious references in literature and other information about the role of faith in human society.
